Account & Data Deletion

LARD app — Developer: LARD PTY LTD

This page explains how to request deletion of your LARD account and associated data, and what happens to your data when you do.

How to Request Deletion

To request that your account and personal data be deleted:

  1. Email support@lard.build with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
  2. Include the email address associated with your LARD account so we can identify it.
  3. We will respond within 5 business days to confirm your request and verify your identity.
  4. Once verified, your personal account data will be deleted within 30 days. We will send you a written confirmation when complete.

What Gets Deleted

The following personal data will be deleted when you request account deletion:

  • Your account credentials and profile (email address, name, role)
  • Organisation and project memberships
  • Device associations and trial records
  • Private logs, reports, photos, and audio recordings that you have not shared with anyone
  • Analytics and diagnostic data linked to your account

What Is Kept & Why

Records you have shared cannot be deleted.

If you have shared a log entry, report, photo, or audio recording with a client, colleague, or team member — that content cannot be deleted at your request. Sharing a record is like sending an email: once the other party has received it, you cannot unsend it. The recipient holds their own copy and may depend on it for their records.

Construction site records are subject to legal retention requirements.

Under Australian building and work health & safety legislation, construction site records — including daily logs, site diaries, photos, and reports — must be retained for a minimum of 7 years, and in some cases up to 10 years after project completion. These records may be required for warranty claims, dispute resolution, or regulatory investigations. LARD PTY LTD is required to retain them for this period regardless of whether the account holder requests deletion.

In both cases, your personal identifying information (name, email) will be removed from the retained records where technically possible. The construction content itself — the logs, reports, and media — will remain associated with the relevant project.
